Boho chic is a music festival season must have look. The look is involving late 60s, 70s fashion- more hippie. Boho- chic is a fashion trend that is focus on various bohemian and hippie influences that developed in the middle to late 1960s. Bohemian delivers an attitude and style that explains women’s independent frame of mind. Hence, there are style in lots of layers with no shape, because the fabrics used must allow your skin to ‘breathe’, to feel the freedom, also combines with organic, detailed, beading, linen, wood and stone pieces.
Sienna Millers and Kate Moss are both associated particularly with their boho-chic killer look, in USA, Nicole Richie and Mary-Kate Olsen are the queen of queen in bohemian hippie chic.
This look is easy and fun however it could be tricky. Different people has different body shape. Like the curvy girls are more suitable for fabrics like ‘drapes’ to allow the fabric softy to flow gently over the body curves therefore to achieve this look, curvy girls tend to choose chiffon fabrics in flower print and don’t forget to wear heels to elongate the body shape to make the look slim.
Moreover, small build like me with only 5 foot 2 and a half inch tall, do not try to over layers to achieve the boho look.
But try something like them ,in the picture below, to get the look in more proportion.
Back to the Paris fashion month in february, the super model Rosie Huntington Whiteley was wearing a zebra print bomber jacket by Balmain, as she stepped out in Paris. With trainers and sneakers trend are so on popular right now and they are selling everywhere on high street. Sport luxe seems to be sticking around into SS14, therefore, bomber jacket is absolutely a key piece in this season.
Especially silky bomber which is particularly popular for this season and it just as versatile as trench and mac. Team yours with a simple pair of skinny jeans and chunky knit for a day time look, or wear it with delicate pleated skirts, wide legging trousers to create a stylish smart-casual look.
Don’t just take my word for it, check out all the leading designer brand which has created their unique bomber jacket trend, also high street like Mango, Topshop and Asos are offering runway style bomber with reasonable prices.
